SWPP Convention 2013

Well, it is only a few weeks to go until the SWPP Convention 2013. This will be the third year that I have been invited to speak and this year I am presenting two masterclasses, one on the Saturday and one on the Sunday.

There is a change of venue this year and the convention will be held at The Hilton, Edgeware Road. I think it will take me a little while to find my way around and find where all the rooms are for the masterclasses etc ! As well as all the masterclasses the convention has a large trade show with over 150 exhibitors. One of the other things I love about the convention is the Awards Dinner, this year it is on the Saturday night, hopefully the Hilton will have a piano for the traditional “singing” that lasts until the early hours… One of the Awards this year is the David Routledge Award in memory of a really lovely photographer who sadly died earlier this year. This award is only open to unqualified photographers to encourage the up and coming people within our industry; it will be judged by Davids wife rather than a panel of industry experts. Davids wife and family will be at the awards dinner and I know it will be an emotional evening.

Lisa will also talk about the introduction of dSLR video into the business and what she hopes the next year will bring.
