I recently had the pleasure of photographing Marion’s 80th Birthday Party at The Gherkin in London. This has to be one of the most iconic buildings in London and it was wonderful to get the opportunity to work there.
Marion’s party was held on the top two floors with spectacular views over London, especially as it was the same day as the London Marathon ! It did feel quite surreal at times watching the runners streaming over Tower Bridge whilst everyone looked down on them.
The weather was just about perfect, sunny with a few clouds in the sky, so everyone could enjoy the panoramic views. Most of the guests didn’t know they were heading to the top floor and I think it really was a lovely surprise for them 🙂
