Brecon Beacons Waterfall

Something a bit different….

When I’m not busy working I spend quite a bit of my time out running. Most of my running is off road and I see some really beautiful sights 🙂 Because of the distances I run I don’t normally carry much camera kit with me, to tell the truth the only camera I have with me is my iPhone !

Over the summer I took part in one of the toughest events in the UK. If you watched the SAS programme recently on Channel 4 you would have seen them doing the “Fan Dance” this involves going up and over the highest point in the Brecon Beacons twice. This was the route that I completed in the Summer under the watchful eyes of some very competent SAS directing staff.

The only photos I took during the race were on my iPhone but the day after we went for a long walk with the dogs and found some really rather beautiful waterfalls. I am always amazed at how beautiful our country is and how little of it I have actually got to see. I had one of my Sony cameras with me for our walk, with a single 35mm lens and no tripod/filters etc. This is one of my favourite photos from that day 🙂

I’m back in the Brecons to run the same race again in January (survival is my main aim 🙂 ) and again next July. When I head back next summer I’m planning on spending a bit more time in the area and spending more time on my landscape photography 🙂
