The Societies (SWPP) Annual Convention 2014

Well, I am thrilled to say that I will be speaking again at the SWPP Convention in January. This will be my fourth year there as a speaker and this year in addition to presenting two totally new masterclasses I will be speaking at their business school.

This will be the second year that the Convention is help at the Hilton London Metropole; one of the few venues actually large enough to host this event ! The Convention is the largest annual trade show and convention of its type in Europe 🙂

Again this year my talks at the convention will be sponsored by Loxley Colour, the professional lab that I use for all our wall display products.

On Wednesday 15th Jan I will be speaking at the business school; looking at how advertising influences people as well as “thinking like a Bride” and putting yourself in their shoes !

Friday 17th Jan (at 8am !!!) I will be covering post wedding workflow and album design…. I’m not sure if I will need an added incentive to get people up that early; perhaps I should bring biscuits with me 🙂

My final masterclass is on Saturday 18th Jan start at 10am and it is all about low light photography. This will include a practical session as well as looking at the technical aspects of photographs to make sure that you can get the best possible photographs for your clients in very low light. This will include showing how we use the Lowel-ID video light for bridal portraiture on the wedding day 🙂

The convention is also a wonderful opportunity to catch up with old friends (as well as make new ones) and see what is new in the industry. With the welcome party and awards dinner I know it is going to be a very busy week but one that I will love every minute of… Until then I have three new seminars to write and prepare as well as our normal workload in the studio and with weddings, looks like I’m going to be busy !
